Trump’s Policies against Cuba and Venezuela Are Condemned in US – Prensa Latina

Washington, Jul 21 (Prensa Latina) More than 20 automobiles joined a new caravan in Miami, Florida, to condemn the aggressive policies that the government of US President Donald Trump has implemented against Cuba and Venezuela.

Saturday’s caravan, which was preceded by rain and lightning, extended in Westchester for more than 40 kilometers for one hour, the Marti Alliance, made up of organizations of Cuban emigres in Miami and the organizer of the event, said in a press release.

As they did on June 8 and on previous occasions, the vehicles had Cuban flags, played their horns incessantly and turned on the lights to call people’s attention on their claims.

Messages written in Spanish and English on both sides of the cars demanded an end to the hostility against Cuba and Venezuela, the US citizens’ right to travel without restrictions to the Caribbean nation, the reopening of the US Consulate in Havana and an end to the blockade of Cuba.

This economic, commercial and financial siege is more than 55 years old, despite opposition by nearly the entire world and most US and Cuban-American citizens.

According to organizers, the caravan was supported by several people with their own means of transportation, some of whom joined the group, and passers-by who met in their way.

Relations between Cuba and the United States received another blow in early June, when the Donald Trump administration made the controversial decision of imposing new restrictions on travel by US citizens to Cuba.
